I love upholstered headboards- they look pretty and elegant. I especially love them in light neutral shades like oatmeal and beige.
One thing about these headboards (especially in the light shade) is that they are a pain to clean when dust collects on them! A simple vacuum or lint roller will simply not do the trick.
I have two great ways to get rid of dust pile up and keep your headboards looking like new!
Using one of my favourite all purpose tools: the Furminator. I love using the Furminator that is originally meant for dog hair on my furniture. It picks up every little piece with an easy sweep and it can be discarded just as easily. Use this gently on your entire headboard- I do mine about once every three weeks.

Once a week I use a Bounce dryer sheet on my headboard. It collects the dust and dog hair quite well (not as thoroughly as the Furminator) and it also leaves a fresh, linen smell!
